Our Educational Program

TKCS is a college preparatory school offering over 70 courses at college prep, honors, and Advanced Placement levels. With smaller class sizes and a 11:1 student-to-teacher ratio, The King’s Christian School provides an ideal environment to enable students to excel in all academic disciplines.

TKCS students consistently score above the national average in all subject areas on the nationally indexed Iowa Test, as well as on the PSAT, SAT, and ACT exams. Each year, 95-100% of graduates go on to attend college or university.

At TKCS, we are able to offer academic support services for students in grades K through 12. If a student qualifies, he or she is provided supplemental instruction through our push in/pull out program. Parents and students will meet with the Director of the Timothy Program to develop an accommodation plan. This will be done during the admissions process.

TKCS requires that, for students applying for grades K-12, one parent or guardian be a believer in Jesus Christ. (This is not a requirement for preschool.) All families are required to submit a Pastor Recommendation Form that confirms their active involvement in a Christian church.

Personal Tours

Open houses are a great way to take a tour of our campus and to get to meet our teachers. However, nothing can replace a one-on-one meeting with someone in our admissions department. Every child is unique and all families have different needs. A one-on-one meeting will allow us to get to know each other better, therefore giving us the best opportunity to help you determine if The King’s Christian School is the best fit for your family’s educational and spiritual needs.

To schedule a tour or visit, please email admissions@tkcs.org.

Statement of Inclusion and Non-discrimination

TKCS admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities accorded to students at the school. Just as God shows no partiality based on race or ethnicity, we show no partiality nor discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of school, admissions, or financial aid policies, or any other school-administered programs.
