ACADEMICS

High School

High School

The high school years are arguably the most important years in a student’s life. As they transition from children to adults, you will want to know that your children possess the necessary spiritual maturity to navigate college life and beyond without losing the faith you have instilled in them. Excellent academics combined with spiritual maturity are the hallmarks of The King’s Christian High School. Each child is recognized as unique and special. Their individual gifts are enhanced through the acceptance, nurture, and encouragement of loving teachers.

Spiritual Maturity

Discipleship, Christian ethics, and apologetics are the focus of our high school Bible curriculum as students are prepared to enter the world spiritually mature and equipped to live out, share, and defend their faith.
Students develop spiritually throughout their four years of high school at The King’s Christian School. Each year, the entire high school, including teachers, spend valuable time growing together in their faith at the annual high school retreat.
Weekly chapels feature guest speakers who encourage and instruct our students throughout the year while student-elected class chaplains take the lead with their peers during class meetings and other school events.

Global Missions

For the past 24 years, The King’s Christian School has sent out teams of students to share the love of Jesus Christ locally, regionally, and around the world. Our students have served in U.S. cities such as Boston, New York and Washington D.C. as well as countries in Europe and Africa.
Our 2024 missions team will travel to Phoenix, Arizona. The missions program at The King’s Christian School involves a year-long discipleship and training program to prepare high school students for their mission experience.

College Bound

At TKCS we strive for academic excellence. Each year, between 95% and 100% of our high school seniors continue their educations at colleges and universities across the country, so our high school program is designed for college-readiness.
In addition to a full range of college preparatory, honors, and AP courses, King’s requires its students to successfully complete courses above the New Jersey state standards. Beginning in freshman year, students are required to complete courses in public speaking, advanced writing, and information literacy in order to fully prepare them for their studies at the next level.

COURSE SELECTION GUIDE

“High school students today are confronted with a world in which there are no moral absolutes and science provides the solutions to all of man’s problems. Having my grandson at The King’s Christian School assures me that all his subjects are taught by individuals who are committed to the absolute authority of God’s Word and are presented in a manner that is consistent with His truth.”
