Little Knights Preschool

The Little Knights Preschool provides three- and four-year-olds with an environment in which each child can grow spiritually, physically, socially, cognitively, and emotionally, and as a result of his or her first learning experience, begin to develop a sense of wonder, an enjoyment of learning, and a positive attitude toward school.

Each child is recognized as unique and special. Their individual gifts are enhanced through the acceptance, nurture, and encouragement of loving teachers.

Spiritually

Discovering the love of God in everything we do is the foundation of our Little Knights preschool ministry. Here our youngest students learn that they are perfectly created in His image. It is exciting to witness the beginning of a student’s journey as he or she grows in faith and begins to develop a life-long relationship with our Lord.

Socially

Learning to love one’s neighbor is a foundational value of God’s Word. Our preschool students learn to love each other as God created them to be. Social skills that enhance peer relationships are taught by instruction, positive reinforcement, and example.

Intellectually

Students gain basic skills in reading readiness, language, math, science, and the Bible. Learning through play, traditional instruction, incorporation of technology, and hands-on experimentation inspires students to become life-long learners.

Preschool Overview

Little Knights Preschool is a program for three and four year old children who are potty trained.

Little Knights is an age and developmentally appropriate program with an academic emphasis through exploration and play. A thematic approach to learning creates a broad spectrum exposure to many learning modalities and experiences. Special subject areas including physical education, music, art, and library, are taught by teachers certified in those subject areas.

Opportunities for learning outside the classroom consist of several field trips throughout the year to places for pumpkin picking, Camden Aquarium, Paws petting zoo, the Philadelphia Zoo, and others. There are many activities within the school setting such as Harvest Hoedown, Thanksgiving Feast, Grandparents Breakfast, Christmas Pajama Pancake Day, Valentine’s Day parties, and Summer Splash Day. Parental help and involvement is always encouraged.

The curriculum at Little Knights is based on Best Practices and is infused with the Bible in every subject.

It was really important to my husband and me that our children received not just a great academic education but a solid spiritual education. Our daughter would not pray out loud, but after her first year of preschool at King’s she loves praying out loud and with her brothers. We can see how much her faith is growing…
