Welcome Our New Head of School!

Dear TKCS Community,

With great joy and gratitude for the Lord’s provision, I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Ray Casey has been appointed as our next Head of School.

The process to select our new Head of School began last summer with the appointment of a search committee and hiring an executive search firm.  The search committee, led by veteran board member John Fort, included current and former board members as well as several faculty members.  Since September, the committee has spent countless hours reviewing resumes and interviewing potential candidates. Over several months, the committee recommended four different candidates to be invited to campus and be interviewed by the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors believes that the Lord has made it very clear that Dr. Casey is the right leader to take King’s to the next level of excellence.  After graduating from The King’s College (NY), Ray and his wife Esther served on the mission field before moving to Virginia for graduate work at Regent University and his first teaching and coaching job.  Over time, Ray earned three Master’s Degrees (Public Policy, Biblical Studies, and Management) and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University.  Dr. Casey has served as Head of School at schools in several states and currently serves as President of Westminster Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. He has also served as an Organizational Leadership Consultant and maintains his Executive Coaching certification.  In addition to those professional qualifications, he is also a gifted Bible teacher with a deep understanding of Christian school education in both philosophy and practice.

Our retiring Head of School, Steve Dill, first knew Ray when he headed a Christian school in Lancaster, PA, twenty years ago and has kept in touch with him. Dr. Dill said:  “Ray Casey is a deeply mature Christian leader who has a proven track record of spiritual, academic and financial leadership at several Christian schools.  He is one of the strongest Christian school leaders I have known during my career.  King’s is incredibly blessed to have him as our next leader.”

The Board of Directors had an excellent interview and warm fellowship with Ray last week, and he accepted our offer to come to King’s over this past weekend.  On Tuesday, he was introduced to the faculty and staff by the Board and spoke to the faculty via Zoom.  He will officially begin his position on July 1, but will be here before that to begin the transition process.  Ray and Esther, along with their two youngest children (Shane, 16 and Ben, 12) are eager to join the King’s community.  Be sure to watch Dr. Casey’s greeting to the King’s family [here].

Praise God for His provision to The King’s Christian School!

Mr. Jorge Arroyo

President, TKCS Board of Directors
